Queer History and Culture Muzeul at Timisoara

We are bringing to Timisoara documented and archived works by Florin Buhuceanu. The museum will be open for a month and will host various events and discussions to bring the public closer. Queer identities are public today. Access to information, education or services based on the criteria of sexual orientation and gender identity, the right to family life, freedom of expression are still considered "scandalous". Fundamentalist groups and politicians from various parties would like them suppressed in the name of protecting children, traditional families and religious values. This is our response to: proposal of eliminating gender education (2020), blocking access to information and education about sexual orientation and gender identity (2022) until the age of 18 from the entire public space. We have always been present in Romania and it it is important to talk about this history subjected to criminalization and "public scandal". Documentation and research: Florin Buhuceanu
