Animal Crossing theater performance

Animal Crossing is a show that deals with the multiculturalism specific to Timișoara, while tackling a current issue in the European context: migration and forced displacement.

We witness the story of two border guards, one Romanian and one Hungarian, working in a joint border surveillance team, which intersects with the story of a migrant woman from the Middle East.

What lies ahead? The chance to understand that we have a common future if we are open to getting to know each other, to get in touch with the reality of the people next to us and to stop relating to each other as objects.

Animal Crossing has been performed in festivals in Romania, and as a reading it was presented at the Theatre de l'Opprime in Paris and at the Theatre X in Berlin.
