Architecture workshops

Today Fabric is being rebuilt; in the age of sustainable development and ecosystems, it is necessary to rethink urban manufacturing methods. The school of know-how can participate in this reflection, combining traditional production and resident involvement.

The school of know-how is a project designed to respond to contemporary needs in a neighbourhood undergoing renovation. All this in the context of a project on public space, where the involvement of communities and residents seems to be a point of convergence and success of these transformations. The school of know-how highlights the involvement of the city in its heritage action and showcases the networks of local actors, in particular craftsmen's guilds, heritage conservation NGOs and associations of engineers and architects. It is also a space-time that prefigures the renewal of the neighbourhood: public space, public or symbolic building, with at its heart the notions of doing with and doing together.

This project is part of the national cultural programme "Timișoara – European Capital of Culture in the year 2023" and is funded by the City of Timișoara, through the Center for Projects.
