On September 30, 2023, starting at 16:00, a new concert will take place on the Bega River as part of the "Baroque Watermusic" Project in 2023. The concert features period musical instruments and costumes and is performed on a baroque-style boat that will sail on the Bega River. The audience can listen to and watch the performance from the riverbanks. The musicians are professional musicians from Romania and Hungary, along with soprano Narcisa Brumar from the Romanian National Opera in Timișoara, a soloist from this institution. The boat will depart at 16:00 from Children's Park and will sail slowly on the Bega River, while the audience will be on the riverbanks.
This project is part of the national cultural programme "Timișoara – European Capital of Culture in the year 2023" and is funded by the City of Timișoara, through the Center for Projects.
