BUCIUM Concert | LA PAS Festival

LA PAS is also an invitation to rediscover the world of fairy tales and legends, because that's what the Bucium band entices us with, and they will be performing at our festival.

Bucium is a rock band with influences from folk, ambient, and symphonic metal. The band members put on a show on stage with two violins, traditional instruments, guitar, bass, drums, and vocals.

Their albums are conceptual - they blend Romanian legends and fairy tales with introspective, spiritual music, but with a contemporary touch. It's a promise to rediscover the purity of childhood and transport you into a fantastic universe through their songs.

Bucium's materials have roots in myths and legends, but their lyrics and music are original compositions.

At the end of 2022, coinciding with the winter solstice, the band released "Zimbrul Alb" (The White Aurochs), a unique format album, a 21x21 cm digipack, with each track accompanied by an illustration by Radu Damian, and all eight illustrations come together to create a poster.

Come to #LAPAS with Bucium and the following members: Alexandra Milea - violin, Andi Dumitrescu (composer and lyricist) - vocals, guitars, wind instruments, and keyboards, Mihai Balabaș - violin and guitar, Augustin 'Adi' Comorașu - bass, and Cristian Răducanu - drums & percussion.

This project is part of the national cultural programme "Timișoara – European Capital of Culture in the year 2023" and is funded by the City of Timișoara, through the Center for Projects.
