Ceau, Cinema! Warm-up - István Szabó Retrospective

Three classic films created by the great Hungarian filmmaker István Szabó can be seen in Timișoara as part of a retrospective organized by Ceau, Cinema! Film Festival together with Liszt Institute - The Hungarian Cultural Center from Bucharest, before the tenth edition of the festival.
 
"Mephisto" (1981), "Colonel Redl" (1985) and "Hanussen" (1988), the informal trilogy of historical and political dramas starring the famous Austrian actor Klaus Maria Brandauer, will be screened at Cinema Victoria in Timisoara between June 30 and July 2, as part of a Warm-Up of the anniversary edition of Ceau, Cinema! 
 
The films will be presented in restored 4K versions by the Hungarian Film Archive. Tickets are available on Eventbook

Ceau, Cinema! is a festival dedicated to European film, organized by the Pelicula Culturală Association and founded together with Marele Ecran Association. The tenth edition of the festival will take place between July 12 and 16, in Timișoara. 
The project is part of the national cultural program "Timișoara – European Capital of Culture in 2023" and is financed through the European Echoes program, run by the Projects' Center of the Municipality of Timișoara, with amounts allocated from the state budget, through the budget of the Ministry of Culture.
