Steps | Lines | Words is a subjective mapping of of Timișoara’s public spaces seen as meeting places for individual stories.
Various public spaces are explored through audiovisual means such as site specific drawings, audio recordings and short animations, creating a subjective map of the spontaneous interrractions which occur when we share a space with others.
The impredictability of recent events has altered the way in which individuals relate to public spaces, underlinig self-isolating tendencies and alienation towards the surrounding environment. In this context it is necessary to observe and discuss the changes in perceiving the public space as a common good. Free acces to public spaces that adresses the needs of citizens regardless of their socio-economic background is an essential element in the wellbeing of communities.
Steps | Lines | Words is an invitation to reflect on and dicuss these matters.
