Because our theatre play "God doesn't watch matches" was a success, the Stindart
Association was invited to perform in the Timișoara Penitentiary in Str. Popa Șapcă, on
Friday 14th July 2023. This show will be presented in a closed setting, only for prison
inmates and staff.
The theatre play "God Doesn't Watch the Matches" is a display of the thoughts, feelings and
behavior of a pathological gambler, as well as the context in which the addiction was
established. This will help the audience understand better the patterns of behaviour and
identify some simptoms of their own or of their peers.
After this performance, the National Anti-Drug Agency psychologist Mariana Iridon,
together with the dramaturg Teo Spătaru and the priest Barazsuly Istvan, Parish Priest of
the Roman Catholic Parish "Precious Heart of Jesus" Elizabetin III, will have an open
discussion with the audience about the subject of the play and about addiction in general.
The inmates of The Timișoara Penitentiary in Popa Șapcă str., have the opportunity to get
answers to their dilemas about addiction from both a priest and a psychologist.

- from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. - the fourth performance of the play "God doesn't watch
matches" by Teo Spătaru, in the vision of director Anda Drăgan, will take place.
- from 11:00 to 12:00: there will be free discussions after the play between the
attending audience and our guest, Mrs. Mariana Iridon, psychologist at the Anti-Drug Prevention,
Evaluation and Counseling Center Timișoara, Priest Barazsuly Istvan, Parish Priest of the Roman Catholic Parish "Most Sacred Heart of Jesus" Elizabeth III, from Bălcescu Square and playwright Teo Spătaru.

The type of audience - the inmates of the Timișoara Penitentiary, from Popa Șapcă str.,
especially those who have a history of problems with various types of addictions. The play
illustrates the problem of sports betting addiction, associated with other addictions, alcohol
and tobacco.
