Hamlet intro - Shakespeare reinterpreted

Do you want to discover new perspectives on established plays?

Hamlet intro:spect. #01 is a performance that reinterprets Shakespeare's work through the prism of contemporary sensibilities and is also the first public event of Nocturnals VIII: HAMLET MORTUA EST, laboratory of theatrical introspection and premiere.

In the current global context, just as Shakespeare reflects the realities of his time, this installation challenges us to think about how our relationship with death is influenced by social and political changes.

You will witness the last lines of the main characters in Hamlet in an intense dialog with Death. This is an opportunity to explore the intimate and profound springs activated by the approach of the end, in a world where the time to live seems more and more compressed.

Director Levente Kocsárdi brings us a multidisciplinary and outdoor performative installation in collaboration with composer Sergiu Cătană (live music), scenographer M.C. Donici and video-mapping artist Sebastian Hamburger, and you are invited to encounter the intersection of art, music and technology in a memorable performance!
