HEI, Cineclub la Bastion #6

The HEI - House of European Institutes is holding its 6th Film Club on September 25th!

This time, the curators of the cineclub have chosen a sci-fi movie, inspired by the events in the sci-fi and fantasy genre that took place in the small wing of the Maria Theresia Bastion from September 13 to 23, 2024: Cozzzmonautica 2024 - Desert Planets /// Stellar Silk Roads and The Galactic Imaginarium Film Festival.

In the continuation of the Bastion's sci-fi week, we also propose you a movie in the same genre by Crazy Pictures: UFO SWEDEN

Synopsis  

A rebellious teenage girl in a foster home suspects that her father is not dead, but has been kidnapped. She is determined to find out the truth with the help of a UFO association. The organization is called UFO SWEDEN and its mission is to investigate supernatural phenomena.

UFO SWEDEN is a story about ordinary people on an extraordinary adventure full of tension, drama and comedy. From the creators behind the hit The Unthinkable (2018).

About the Crazy Pictures Collective

Crazy Pictures is a film collective from Sweden, renowned for their acclaimed and spectacular short films on Youtube with millions of viewers and their debut feature The Unthinkable, sold in over 100 countries. The collective work closely together and represent all major roles such as director, producer, writer, cinematographer, production design, sound design, visual effects and special effects. UFO Sweden is the collective's second feature film.

The film club's curators are Cristina Băldău and Gavril Pop.

The films are selected from the archives of the members of EUNIC Romania - Network of National Cultural Institutes in the European Union and from the Cinevara program of the Foundation9.

 Cineclub #6 is realized in partnership with the Swedish Embassy in Bucharest, with the support of the Swedish Institute and the Swedish Film Institute.
