We will carry out various activities in the vicinity of the Povergina wooden Church, which will, in the meantime, have regained its restored wooden frame structure. We will serve a brunch organized by our partners at My Banat and attend a series of music performances by local artists.
The purpose of the project is to invite the local community to participate in the process of reinventing and valorizing the heritage, of which it is the beneficiary. We want to convey the idea that heritage should serve the current needs of communities and not be a chore. This is the only way cultural heritage can become sustainable.
The project is part of the national cultural programme "Timișoara – European Capital of Culture in 2023" and is funded through the Grow Timișoara 2023 programme, implemented by the Center for Projects Timișoara, with funds allocated from the state budget, through the budget of the Ministry of Culture.
