We invite you to be the creators of your own stories and characters! Shadow silhouettes, puppets, hand-held dolls, object characters, and much more are waiting for you to meet.
We will enter the backstage of the Animation Theater where we will encounter various puppet handling techniques and fantastic puppet characters.
Throughout the workshop, we will discover and experiment with:
- Practical principles of animation in puppet theater
- Creating and animating a character
- Different types and techniques of puppets and handling
- Teamwork

The workshop will be coordinated by Andreea Roxana Bolovan, an actress and puppeteer. After completing two art universities, Theatre - Performing Arts, Spiru Haret University, and Puppet Theatre, followed by two years of a Master's degree in Animation Theatre (UNATC- Bucharest), actress Andreea Roxana Bolovan got in touch with the world of Romanian puppet theater, working as a puppeteer at the Puck Puppet Theater in Cluj Napoca, as well as in independent productions in the field. In 2010, she received certification as a trainer in theater programs for children and adolescents, as part of the DICE project by the Kava Cultural Group Foundation, Hungary.
