Recital de orgă și fagot - Kensuke Ohira-orgă (Japonia), Ulrich Hermann-fagot (Germania)

On July 24, 2024, from 8 p.m., at the Roman Catholic Cathedral in Timișoara, located in the heart of a multicultural and varied city, for the first time in our festival we meet with an artist from Japan, the organist Kensuke Ohira, together with the German bassoonist Ulrich Hermann.

The two artists offer you an extremely varied and fascinating repertoire, with works circling the entire globe, in an extraordinary interpretation, which guarantees you a unique concert experience.

  • Camille Saint-Saëns (1835–1921): Sonata for bassoon and piano in Gl Major, op.168, I. Allegro moderato, II. Allegro scherzando, III. Molto adagio - Allegro moderato
  • Edward Elgar (1857-1934): Romance (for bassoon and string orchestra), op. 62 
  • Charles Koechlin (1867–1950): Three Pieces (for bassoon and piano), op. 34 , I. Lento
  • Alexandre Tansman (1897–1986): Sonatina (for bassoon and piano), I. Allegro con moto, II. Aria. Largo cantabile, III. Scherzo. Molto vivace
  • Yui Kakinuma (1961*): Lotus (2007) (organ solo)
  • Arthur Cohn (1910-1998): Hebaic Study (bassoon solo)
  • Carl Maria von Weber (1786–1826): Andante e Rondo Ungarese (for bassoon and orchestra), op. 35

Entry to all events within the Festival is free.

Wheelchair access is possible through the right side entrance of the Cathedral.
