Within the project „See you at the cinema?! – The role of art cinemas and film festivals in the age of online platforms”, funded by the EEA and Norway Grants, we organize four discussion panels: about financing film festivals, about attracting audiences to festivals, about the role of cinemas in the age of platforms and about the importance of film education programs. The meetings will be attended by directors of the most important film festivals in Romania, managers of art-house cinemas and coordinators of educational programs in the field of film. They will be joined by representatives of the Bergen International Film Festival (BIFF), partner of Ceau, Cinema! at this year’s edition, and of the Norwegian Film Institute.
The project is part of the national cultural programme "Timișoara – European Capital of Culture in 2023" and is funded through the European Echoes Timișoara 2023 programme, implemented by the Center for Projects Timișoara, with funds allocated from the state budget, through the budget of the Ministry of Culture.
