The Blascovici district of Timișoara stretches south of the Bogdanestilor railway line, up to the railway line and the footbridge that crosses the track near the North Railway Station, starting from Circumvalatiunii Street in the east to Ronat in the west.

Blascovici takes its name from Franz Blaskovics, former vicar general of the diocese of Banat.
Around 1900 the area began to be subdivided, and the first streets of the district appeared on the site of a former garden that belonged to him. (wikipedia.org)
