The Palace of Culture, also known as the Opera or the National Theatre, is a building in Timișoara where several cultural institutions operate: the Romanian National Opera, the National Theatre "Mihai Eminescu", the Hungarian State Theatre "Csiky Gergely" and the German State Theatre.

In this building, on 31 October 1918, in the hall of the Kronprinz Rudolf restaurant, Aurel Cosma supported the union of Banat with Romania. Also here, on 20 December 1989, the Romanian Democratic Front was founded, and from the balcony overlooking the square Timișoara was declared free from communism.

Classified in the list of historical monuments, the building forms the northern perspective head of Victoriei Square. Together with the Roman Catholic Dome and the Metropolitan Cathedral it is one of the symbols of Timișoara.
