As summer bids farewell, Timisoara prepares for a colorful and energetic autumn. September brings a host of exciting events that keep the sparkle and vitality of summer alive. Whether you're passionate about contemporary art, music or traditions, this month there's plenty to discover.

These events are part of the Timisoara Heritage 2023, part of the National Cultural Program "Timisoara - European Capital of Culture 2023".

The Future Days exhibition of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism, open from July 5 until October 31, can be seen at ARChA, on Bd. Mihai Viteazu, nr. 1b.

From September 1-15, the Bastion 1 gallery is hosting FRONT - an exhibition of war photography, presenting a powerful insight into the realities of conflict zones.

On September 4, from 7pm, the Roman Catholic Church in Mehala hosts an organ and trumpet concert-lecture, part of the Orgile Cetății Festival. And on September 8, also at 7pm, the Flauto Dolce ensemble will perform an extraordinary concert at the Bethany Adventist Church, part of the same festival.

One World Romania - International Human Rights and Documentary Film Festival will take place from September 19-22 at the Victoria Cinema, bringing to the forefront important human rights stories from around the world.

Cozzzmonautica - Desert Planets /// Stellar Silk Roads will take place on September 20 and 21 at Indecis Artist Run, Bastion 3, 1 Hector St., and offers the audience a fascinating exploration of the artistic and cosmic universe.

The Open Campus Night at Timisoara Polytechnic University will take place on September 28, starting at 18:00. Visitors are invited to explore the campus space and their proposed activities.

On September 28, Ecluze pe Bega brings Art on the Bega to the Waterworks, between 12:00 and 18:00, for a day dedicated to art and culture. In the evening, from 20:00 to 23:00, at D'arc pe mal, Soundopamine will be mixing to keep the atmosphere going.

The following events are part of Timișoara's general cultural offer.

The works of artist Andrei Arion can be seen from June 21 to September 14 in the dedicated exhibition open at Kunsthalle Bega, 10 Circumvalațiunii.

The PREMIERE 30+ theater performance will take place on September 2, at 20:00, at the Opera Hall of the Romanian National Opera, Mărășești Street 2.

The first edition of TIFF Timisoara takes place from September 5 to 8 and aims to bring the newest and most acclaimed films of the renowned festival.

The exhibition Julije Knifer - Meanders without detours will be open from September 5 to October 10 at Take Ionescu 46C, and will provide an opportunity to explore the remarkable works of painter Julije Knifer.

The MF Show - Țapinarii and Fără Zahăr takes place on September 14, starting at 19:00, at In the Back of the House, FITT, Arieș Street 19.

The 5th edition of the Timișoara Architecture Biennale will take place from September 13 to October 27 at the Comenduirea Garnizoanei, Liberty Square, where the public is invited to discover the latest architectural projects and more.

The Danaos theater performance will take place on September 17, from 19:00, in the Great Hall of the Hungarian State Theater "Csiki Gergely", Alba Iulia Street 2.

On September 20, at 19:00, the symphonic concert "Tomorrow's Artists", presented by the Banatul Philharmonic and the Faculty of Music and Theatre Timișoara, will take place in the Capitol Hall of the Banatul Philharmonic, Constantin Diaconovici Loga 2, Bdul.

The Son Theater performance will take place on September 20 at 19:30 at the German Theater, 2 Alba Iulia Street.

On September 22, from 17:00, the Sala Studio, 2 Alba Iulia Street, will host The Swan Fairy, a first-ever puppet theater performance.

The KAMO Blues / Jazz Gala will take place on September 28 and 29, starting at 19:00, in the Summer Garden of the Banatul Philharmonic. The event promises two evenings of great music in a relaxing atmosphere.

A Week for Monuments II will take place from September 30 to October 6 in the open air at the Theresia Bastion. The event will celebrate architectural heritage with activities and exhibitions dedicated to historic monuments.

The National Cultural Program "Timisoara - European Capital of Culture in 2023" is funded by the Municipality of Timisoara, the Ministry of Culture and Timis County Council.
