In August, Timisoara will come alive with "City Celebration", an unmissable event that will fill the city with joy and energy. From August 16-18, the city will be the place where music and culture come together to create memorable moments. Visitors and residents will be able to enjoy exceptional performances by internationally renowned artists including Passenger and Rita Ora, as well as a host of activities and exhibitions.

The following events are part of the Timisoara 2023 Legacy, part of the National Cultural Program "Timisoara - European Capital of Culture 2023".

Until August 17, the ISHO House in Timisoara (46C Take Ionescu Blvd., 1st floor) hosts the exhibition "The Side of Paradise" by artist Marius Bercea. Visitors can admire his innovative works in a space dedicated to art.

ARChA (1b Mihai Viteazu Blvd.) is where the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism is exhibiting "Future Days" until October 31. The exhibition brings to the forefront innovative student projects and visions, shaping the future of architecture and urbanism.

On August 3 and 10, from 11:00 and 19:30 respectively, Hall C7 (43 Boulevard 16 Decembrie 1989) will host "Poiana of Friendship", a children's theatre show. It is the perfect opportunity for the little ones to enjoy a story full of magic.

From 8 to 15 August, at 8 pm, Indecis Artist Run Space un organizes expeditions to the Ornithological Reserve of Satchinez for those who want to discover the local biodiversity and observe birds in a spectacular natural setting.

The Synagogue of the Citadel will be the place where on August 11, from 19:00, Yves Rechsteiner and Henri-Charles Caget will pay a special tribute to the music of Mike Oldfield, Genesis and Frank Zappa with a unique combination of organ and percussion.

On August 17, the Civic Park will be the place where music and sport meet for the "Celebration of the City"! Starting at 19:00, there will be familiar tunes at the Zdop and Zdup concert, followed by Passenger at 20:15 and Rita Ora at 22:00. Meanwhile, the basketball courts in Uszoda (Central Park) and Bd. Vasile Pârvan will host the 3x3 basketball tournament, starting at 9:00.

St. Catherine's Roman Catholic Church will host a sacred music recital on August 21, starting at 19:00. The Organs of the Citadel will resound in this historic setting and provide an evening of divine harmonies and spiritual excitement.

On August 24, Halle C7, 43 Boulevard 16 Decembrie 1989, will be the venue for "The Merry Farm", a show dedicated to the little ones. Starting at 11:00, children are invited to join in the fun and have a great adventure with the friendly characters.

The following events are part of the general cultural offer of Timișoara.

The exhibition "Andrei Arion" can be visited at Kunsthalle Bega, 10 Circumvalațiunii, until September 14, and the public is invited to discover the artist's works in a space dedicated to contemporary art, open to the public since June 21.

On August 4, from 8pm, In the Back of the House, at FITT, 19 Arieș Street, the band Without Sugar is preparing "Nevralgii de vară" which promises to be an evening full of humor and energy.

Codru Festival will open its doors between August 30 and September 1 at the former ZOO garden (Pădurea Verde), where 3 days of music and fun await us in the middle of nature..

On August 16, the House of Arts in Timisoara will host the 9th edition of "Les Films de Cannes à Timisoara". Starting at 19:00, the public will have the opportunity to watch a selection of films awarded at the Cannes Film Festival.

The TIFF Unlimited Caravan stops at Iulius Mall between August 16 and 18! During this period, movie lovers will have the opportunity to enjoy screenings of award-winning and acclaimed films.

On August 17, from 12:00 noon, FABER transforms into a splendid location for the "Secrets Intertwined" - Neighborhood Festival.

On August 18, the Riverside Pavilion in Children's Park will come alive with "Baroque Watermusic II," starting at 12:00. Also on the same day, from 11:00, the Water Museum at 26 Calea Urseni will host the educational concert "Classikid," dedicated to young music lovers.

The National Cultural Program "Timisoara - European Capital of Culture in 2023" is funded by the Municipality of Timisoara, the Ministry of Culture and Timis County Council.
