After an experience of over 20 years in journalism, Andreea Iatagan discovered that she likes to write not only news and reports, but also stories for children. Inspired by her little girl, she invented the first character, a mischievous and brave dragonfly, whose adventures were published in the volumes: "Rainbow Rain", "Light Elves", "The Wise Rabbit and the Secret of Stories" (Pandora M, Grupul Editorial Trei, 2017, 2018, 2019).

The second character, Miko, a resourceful and imaginative bluish arctic fox, told her stories in the book series: "Miko the Cold Fox", "Miko and the Christmas Night Adventure", "Miko and the Sun" ( Pandora M, Three Editorial Group, 2021, 2022, 2024). "Miko, the cold fox" was dramatized on the stage of the Merlin Children's Theater in Timisoara as part of a project of the Fairytale Association, co-financed by AFCN. The same story was included on the list of recommended readings in the Romanian Language Communication Manual for 1st grade of the Corint Educaţional publishing house.

Together with other authors who are members of the Fairy Tale Writers' Association for Children and Adolescents, Andreea Iatagan builds cultural projects, especially in schools and libraries in villages and disadvantaged areas. When she is not in the newsroom, you can find her in classes with the children, whom she tries to bring closer to books and stories.
