Andrei Petrache completed his Bachelor's and Master's studies in Classical Composition in the class of Prof. Dr. DHC Dan Dediu and currently continues as a doctoral student in the same specialization, at the National University of Music in Bucharest. In parallel, he is pursuing a second license, that of Orchestra Conducting, under the guidance of Prof. Cristian Mandeal. He has conducted UNMB's Symphonia student orchestra, Pulsart Percussion Ensemble, and IconArts Contemporary Music Ensemble. Andrei Petrache is an associate teacher at the Bucharest National University of Music and a member of the Union of Composers and Musicologists from Romania since 2023, his works, numbering over 70 opus, have been awarded over 30 prizes at national composition competitions and international and have been performed in many major cities in Europe and Asia. His activity as a pianist, appreciated with more than 30 prizes at national and international competitions, is oriented towards the jazz scene, having so far performed in various important cities on three continents.
