Cosmin Perța (b. 1982, Vișeu de Sus) graduated from the Faculty of Letters of "Babeș-Bolyai" University in Cluj. He continued his studies with a master's degree in contemporary literature at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Bucharest. In 2011, at the same faculty, he obtained the title of Doctor of Letters with a thesis on comparative literature. He was by turns a reporter, cultural editor, literary columnist, columnist, editorial secretary, editor-in-chief, book editor, editorial director, cultural manager, assistant and university lecturer.
He has published 7 volumes of poetry, 6 novels, 3 volumes of essays, 3 books for children, 2 books of short prose, a novelized monograph and a volume of theater. He creates multimedia installations and is the curator, together with Iulian Morar, of the SwordS project. His poems are translated into magazines in 18 languages, and there are currently more than 800 scientific references to his work in specialized criticism at home and abroad. Three of his novels were translated in Croatia and Serbia. Over time he participated as a performer at festivals in France, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Belgium, Croatia, Germany, Serbia, Spain, Nicaragua, Peru, Colombia, Montenegro, Macedonia, China, Turkey, Denmark and Great Britain. He obtained two creative residencies, one in 2009 in Paris, granted by the ICR, and one in 2019 in Belgrade, granted by Traduki and the Krokodil foundation.
He is the vice-president of PEN Club Romania, a member of the Romanian Society of Science-Fiction and Fantasy, of the Association for Copyright of Written Works and of the Association of General and Comparative Literature from Romania.
