Cristina Bodnărescu is an artist working at the intersection of new media and visual and performative arts, with a focus on the study of the technologically mediated human body, at the border between the real and the virtual, within a posthuman research framework. To illustrate these concepts, she engages with a diverse range of digital and analog media, including experimental photography and video art, sound, and the design of interactive and immersive experiences in installations and performances.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts from the University of Arts Bucharest. She completed her master's studies at the Center for Excellence in Image Studies (UB) and the CINETIC centre (UNATC), where she developed her interests in posthumanism, interactive systems, human-computer interaction, technological mediation, machine learning, and Artificial Intelligence.

Her new media projects have been exhibited nationally and internationally at prestigious festivals such as Radar New Media Art (Bucharest), Simultan (Timișoara), Amural (Brașov), Fête des Lumières (Lyon), Ars Electronica (Linz), Speculum Artium (Trbovlje), as well as in galleries and art museums including Galateca (Bucharest), Magma (Sfântu Gheorghe), Museum of Immersive New Art (Bucharest), and the National Museum of Contemporary Art of Romania (Bucharest).
