The project Brâncusi . Frame By Frame, made by Dream Trademark Studio in partnership with General School no. 20, includes a series of over ten activities through which first grade students have the chance to creatively analyze, interpret and express the knowledge, ideas and emotions generated by one of the most important cultural events of the year 2023: the Brâncusi exhibition: Romanian sources and universal perspectives.
The activities are structured as presentations, courses and stop-frame animation workshops, which will result in stop-motion animations inspired by Brâncuși's works that the children had the opportunity to see during the exhibition.
The stop-frame animation technique was chosen because it combines traditional techniques (collage, modeling, construction, drawing) with modern, digital techniques (digital photography, post-processing, montage, editing) using specialized devices and software, but which is easily accessible to children.
This project is part of the national cultural programme "Timișoara European Capital of Culture in the year 2023" and is financed by the Power Station+ program | Creative schools, run by the Center for Projects Timișoara, with amounts allocated from the state budget, through the budget of the Ministry of Culture.
