Several interactive workshops carried out with the help of the scholarship will combine reading with artistic activities, helping children to discover their abilities as protectors of nature and inspiring their desire to treat animals gently and to preserve the environment.
The meeting plan with the students starts with the premiere reading of some fragments of the text in progress Eu sunt Norocel, the provisional title of a mini-novel for children between 8 and 12 years old, in which the friendship between children and animals saves the world.
Children will understand that they can, even through simple gestures, protect animals and that, in the future, as they grow up, they have the power to change the way people treat the environment.
The workshops will also have a creative component, where children will be encouraged to write and create the illustration for their own story that has a favorite animal as the main character. Finally, I will offer them a portfolio of books in which the relationship between children and animals is addressed, recommending reading adapted to their age and understanding.
