ROD Festival is a project carried out by the DocuMentor Association in Timișoara, Timiș County and abroad from May to November 2023. Through film screenings, theatre performances, photography or cultural interventions, ROD Festival proposes interactions on social, memory and current themes in unconventional, outdoor spaces, for communities or people who are often ignored, for isolated, disadvantaged, vulnerable, institutionalised groups, trying to repair the fracture between the centre and the periphery.
The digital ROD caravan, consisting of media productions of different bills: video reports, short fiction films, spots, podcasts, promotional clips, animation, making-of, teaser or trailer, is an essential component of the ROD Festival cultural offer, a concept designed for social media and online platforms and which aims to retain a public that will travel virtually before, during and after the cultural caravan has taken place.
This project is part of the national cultural programme "Timișoara – European Capital of Culture in the year 2023" and is funded by the City of Timișoara, through the Center for Projects.
