Science Through Art

The purpose of the Science through Art project aims to create a framework in which primary school students can have their curiosity, imagination and creativity stimulated through science and art. A framework in which children can develop their practical, creative skills, openness to science through game methods, thus gaining confidence in them. The learning process being thus presented in a game key.

Science through Art complements the theoretical knowledge taught in the school curriculum and prepares students to approach subjects such as chemistry and physics with curiosity and confidence when they come to study them in higher grades. It also provides the necessary knowledge and skills to continue experimenting on their own, to plant the seeds of ideas that later become unique artistic projects. The project is thought to be a pilot project, so that it can be introduced into the curriculum of other schools in Timișoara.

This project is part of the national cultural programme "Timișoara European Capital of Culture in the year 2023" and is financed by the Power Station+ program | Creative schools, run by the Center for Projects Timișoara, with amounts allocated from the state budget, through the budget of the Ministry of Culture.
