In the year 1984, one of the most important sculpture workshops in the country was organized in Timișoara, where local sculptors Victor Gaga, Szakats Bela, Ştefan Călărăşeanu, Adrian Ioniță, sculptor Nicolae Kruch Jr. from Oradea, and Bucharest sculptors Aurel Cucu, Florentin Tănăsescu, Sava Stoianov, Neculai Băndărău, and Liviu Rus participated.
These sculptures, made from limestone from Viștea, were to be a landmark of the promenade along the Bega River for a long time, except for the recent period when the voices of the artists have almost faded away, and their stones stand resigned to indifference.
