“Aristide-the-Beaver`s Journey to Timisoara'' is a reading & lecture activities workshop aimed at the pupils of The “Avram Iancu” Middle School, based in Timisoara. This event will not only feature a live reading of an excerpt by writer Victoria Patrascu from her upcoming novel, “Aristide-the-Beaver´s Journey” but will also offer the students of the “Avram Iancu” Middle School the opportunity to learn more about the work that goes into planning and writing a book.

“Aristide-the-Beaver´s Journey” is an ecological story, written by Victoria Patrascu, with the help of the „ENERGIE” Grant, provided by the Project Centre Timisoara. And, while it may be concerned with ecology, it is above all a story about rediscovering yourself, your roots and your ancestral heritage and lands. It is the coming-of-age story of a beaver and his children, who undertake a journey from Austria all the way to the Brebu Nou village to save not only a polluted river but also its last remaining inhabitants.
