A walk along the water - The biodiversity of the Bega Canal

Do you know which splendid species you share the city with? On Saturday, July 20th, come take a stroll through the Urban Floodplain of the Bega River, guided by Cosmin Ivașcu, a biologist and biodiversity expert. Dress comfortably, take deep breaths, widen your eyes to take in all the greenery around you and on the shimmering water, and you'll discover an almost invisible world living in parallel with the city's hustle and bustle, as well as some wildlife that has found its place in Timișoara, above and nearby - that you may not have heard of before.

Through a simple walk of learning and recognition, you will learn more about this wonderful biodiversity on which we all depend and about our relationship with plants, animals or other unseen universes that stubbornly remain resilient, right here, next to us.

🦆🦢🐢 The walk is aimed at all nature enthusiasts in Timișoara, aged 12 and up. Participation is free but requires registration. There are 20 spots available.
