We invite you to discover the performance „Dictatorii,” a 2022 creation by the company Procédé Zèbre, featuring students from Colegiul Național „Titu Maiorescu”- Aiud, Liceul Tehnologic „Liviu Rebreanu” – Hida, Universitatea de Stiinte Agricole si Medicina Veterinara – Cluj-Napoca. This performance explores the history of the communist years under Ceaușescu, focusing on censorship, freedom of expression, and totalitarianism. The young participants interview their parents and grandparents, gathering testimonies about this dark period. Their work draws on the stories of the deceased, particularly those of intellectuals who died in Aiud prison.
This project is part of WiM Laboratories Iuvenis II, supported by the European Union. This program brings together young people from six European countries to explore the memories of their territories in French and their native languages through theater. Over three years, they meet to exchange ideas and reflect on the present experiences of European youth. The performance at the Revolution Memorial Association in Timișoara is part of a European bus tour. For 20 days, the young people and theater professionals will travel across Europe to present three years of theatrical work, offering performances in streets and theaters, and engaging in numerous exchanges with the public.
