ICONS, Matei Ioachimescu, Irina Rădulescu, The Romanian Flute Ensemble, Maria Rizea

We have many premieres in our festival, but we also have beloved guests returning for new concerts. Among them, The Romanian Flute Ensemble, led by Matei Ioachimescu and accompanied by Irina Rădulescu and Maria Rizea, who will enthrall us with their newest project, ICONS, on August 18, at the Reformed Church in Cetate (near St. Mary’s Square), starting at 7 pm.

Matei Ioachimescu, one of the most virtuoso flutists of the moment, invites the Timișoara audience to a thrilling show that promises to redefine the experience of a regular concert. The shaping of the music of iconic names such as Michael Jackson, Queen, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Guns N' Roses or Aerosmith takes on new creative dimensions thanks to an original chamber group: mini-orchestra of flutes, bass marimba and drums.

Entrance to all events is free. Unfortunately, the Reformed Church in Cetate is not wheelchair accessible.

The festival is organized by the TimOrgelFest Cultural Association and financed by the Timișoara Project Center, the Ministry of Culture, and the West University of Timișoara.

An event also possible thanks to the partnership with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Timișoara, the Adventist Church, FITT, OSUT, the Student House of Timișoara, and the media partners WestCityRadio, Radio Timișoara, TVR Timișoara, Tion, QubTV.

We also thank our sponsors: Volvo, Chantia and „Șansa” Foundation.
