The Organization for Art and Culture was founded at the beginning of 2009 by a group of young people who directly benefited from the impact of the European strategy for the empowerment and empowerment of young people, by participating in various cultural exchange projects, international trainings, social and creative projects. With years of experience in cultural, humanitarian and artistic activities, they now want to change the world.
Our vision is to encourage and support the culture and development of performing arts in Timișoara, as a strong element in the development and revitalization of society. In this sense, we promote European values (solidarity, tolerance and unity), as well as all forms of art belonging to contemporary culture. We aim to facilitate and support access to art and culture for all community members.
Our mission is to build an environment suitable for harmonious development, where city residents can harness their talent, pursue their own interests and discover safe and friendly ways to spend their free time, and young people are encouraged to find confidence, motivation and responsibility for their future.
We collaborated with artists and artistic companies (La Salamandre, Luc Petit) from Belgium and France in the production of shows and events; the resource persons in our organization had logistical and coordination responsibilities in all the events held by the Brussels Circus School between 2010-2013 and in projects such as Leonardo da Vinci (adult training - senior public 50+), the European Voluntary Service (accreditation and implementation), pedagogical coordination. The last project carried out was in Timișoara, through the Erasmus+ program "Circus + Enhance Creativity" - training of social circus trainers.
Now, after a period in which I built a real foundation for contemporary circus in Timișoara, through the audience of the Circus School and thousands of courses and workshops held in the last 10 years by the circus teachers whom I supported during their training, we want to reactivate this vision and build an innovative place where live, performative contemporary culture delights the public and has all the necessary logistics. Thus, we contribute to increasing the quality of life in our city and the opportunities for informal and non-formal education that the community has access to.
