The Baroque Palace is a historic building built in the 18th century, originally as the residence of the local governor. Today, it houses the Timișoara Art Museum, which exhibits a variety of artworks and artifacts from the region.
The museum's collection includes Romanian and European artworks as well as temporary exhibitions of contemporary art. Notable exhibits include works by the Romanian artist Nicolae Grigorescu, as well as works by other Romanian artists such as Theodor Aman and Gheorghe Petrașcu.
In addition to the permanent collection and temporary exhibitions, the museum also hosts a variety of cultural events, including concerts, conferences and workshops.
The palace itself is an architectural jewel in Baroque style, restored to its original state, and is an important tourist destination for lovers of art and history.
