Born in Timișoara, Cristina Varga studied acting at Ion Vidu Art High School and at the Faculty of Music and Theatre at West University. She was part of the independent theatre Auăleu from 2016 to 2019, and at the end of 2019, she moved to England to pursue a master's degree in Performing Arts at the University of Plymouth. During her master's studies, she collaborated with Eden's Cave Theatre Company, participating in the production of their debut film Forests as an Emerging Associate Artist.

Driven by a desire to explore new artistic mediums and interdisciplinary art, she combines elements of comedy, physical theatre, live music, and new media art in her practice. She performs stand-up comedy shows in the southwest of England and is currently on tour at several festivals in the UK with her show Close Enough. At the beginning of 2024, she co-founded the independent theatre company Everything but Theatre with British artist Danni Watmore, with whom she is currently working on a new show set to premiere in 2025.
