Urban.TM is a project for urban art enthusiasts, which unites elements of underground culture in one event.
The project consists of two important components:
Mural.TM - component based on visual art, representing the creation of a large mural painting, on the wall of the building located on Pop De Băsești street, no. 23.
The mural will be created by Flaviu Roua, aka Jones, a local artist with an impressive portfolio of murals created in the city of Timișoara, being the creator of some of the most emblematic works of art on the city's walls.
Culture.TM - this component represents the combination of the most important elements of urban culture: street dance, lyricism, dj-ing and improvisation, in an event that will take place in Iulius Garden, a space within the Iulius Town complex.
There will be activities with free participation, based on registration, such as:
- Battle MC (rhyme improv contest)
- Dance Battle
- Dj-ing workshop (basic notions in the field of dj-ing)
- Graffiti showcase (realization, live, of a graffiti during the two days of the event)
- Concerts with important guests from the urban music scene, such as: Puya, ARGATU, MUZZ, DJs and local artists such as: K-lu, ZO, BKB, MCs United.
On the one hand, the project wants to beautify the appearance of the city by creating a large-scale mural, on the other hand, it wants to create an event that will attract lovers of this culture, which is in continuous expansion, especially among young people.
