Cristian Vicol was born in Timisoara. He graduated from the Faculty of Journalism at the West University in Timișoara. He continued his studies at the University of Szeged (Hungary), with a master's degree in International Journalism. He holds a doctorate in philology at the West University of Timișoara. The theme of his research is the Central European dystopias of the second half of the 20th century. He debuted in 2010 with prose. To date, he has published several volumes, among which we list: The end of innocence (Editura Tritonic, 2018) – a volume of short prose, A short history of Timișoara until 1716 (Editura Eurostampa, 2016, republished by Editura Brumar in 2023) and Anotimpul tântărilor . Pulp-fiction stories (Casa de Pariuri Literare Publishing House, 2021).

In 2022 he coordinated the collective volume Undereground TM. The invisible city (Brumar Publishing House). In 2023 he continued the Underground series with Underground TM2. He participated with short prose in several anthologies and collective volumes of short prose. He was nominated for the Young Prosewriter of the Year 2021 award. He is one of the coordinators of the Remix ID cultural project, where he is PR and documentarian. Remix ID researches the traditions and customs of the ethnic groups of Banat, being one of the projects organized by the META Spațiu association. Currently, he works at the German State Theater Timișoara, where he is also the voice of the theatrical podcast - We hear until we see each other. When she's not writing, she's walking her dog, Fargo, or tending to her balcony garden.
