Baba Karam is a 50-minute participatory performance and euphoric dance party based on the Iranian dance of the same name.

Inspired by Iranian house parties, mehmoonis, and the movements that amateur dancers around the world sent to the artistic group Ful, it paid tribute to the potential of dance to change and enable the existence of forbidden desires and identities.

In the performance, music and dance intertwine with documentary and personal stories about the impact dance can have on people's lives. The performance is a tribute to the two influential and well-known American-Iranian choreographers, Jamileh and Mohammad Khordadian, who have encouraged millions of people around the world to dance. Their work has changed the perspective of what dance can do.

The artistic group Ful consists of Nasim Aghili, Malin Holgersson, Rani Nair and Hanne Lindberg.

The event is part of Timisoara LGBTQIA+ History Month, organized by Identity.Education.

The project is part of the national cultural programme "Timișoara – European Capital of Culture in 2023" and is funded through the Inside Timișoara 2023 programme, implemented by the Center for Projects Timișoara, with funds allocated from the state budget, through the budget of the Ministry of Culture.
