Formed during the tumultuous years of regime change, the band Republic experienced unprecedented success in the history of Hungarian rock. It is one of the most famous bands, which knew how to create new values by drawing inspiration both from the world of the "Great Generations" of Hungarian beat music, and from the roots of popular music from the Carpathian Basin. Their style is unique and original. 28 studio albums, 14 concert recordings, compilations and original concept albums, as well as numerous awards from the public and professional forums are part of the band's track record.
The project is part of the national cultural programme "Timișoara – European Capital of Culture in 2023" and is funded through the Grow Timișoara 2023 programme, implemented by the Center for Projects Timișoara, with funds allocated from the state budget, through the budget of the Ministry of Culture.
