Culture as a Collective Effort | ISKRA workshop

Workshop for teenagers (14-18 years old)

📆 Saturday, October 19th / 10:00-12:00

📍 FABER (Timișoara, 3-5 Peneș Curcanul str.)

The workshop is part of the Why Culture Matters International Symposium - 2nd edition, organized by the Prin Banat Association.

🌱 Workshop conducted by ISKRA members: Karla Jelić-Balta, Lara Jelić-Balta, Aljoša Kotnjek, and Karlo Medved

ISKRA is a multidisciplinary and international collective of young professionals, artists, architects, designers, urban planners, economists, agronomists, and enthusiasts, who find great value in independent research, intergenerational dialogue and share a common affinity towards realms of tradition, innovation, rural, urban, local, global, specific and universal. Mostly, as a uniting interest, we’re addressing the social and cultural tendencies toward discontinuation of intergenerational transition of knowledge, experience, and heritage, whether it be material or immaterial - it has been a unifying element in the collective’s work and approach. In our work, we try to build bridges between generational differences and seemingly detached themes with efforts to enable a new continuity, a new intergenerational exchange. Under any condition, we are not interested to present our work as anachronistic facsimiles but rather try to create a possible echo that is in resonation with past and future tendencies.
