Extraordinary vocal-symphonic concert: Gurre-Lieder

Love, jealous murder, rebellion against fate, reconciliation with fellow human beings and nature. These are the themes that Arnold Schonberg interweaves in his greatest orchestral: Gurre-Lieder.

We will have the privilege of listening to the fascinating love story between King Waldemar and his lover, Tove, killed by the jealous Queen Helvig, on September 28 and 29, 2023, from 7:00 p.m., in the Park of Roses, during the extraordinary vocal-symphonic concerts that open the 2023-2024 Season.

More than 400 instrumentalists and lyrical artists from Germany and Romania are part of the largest project in the history of the Banatul Timișoara Philharmonic.
