Family Concerts - Romanian Chamber Orchestra | George Enescu International Festival Timișoara 2023

The Romanian Chamber Orchestra, a heartfelt project born from the desire of Romanian musicians from the Diaspora to represent and promote Romania worldwide, invites you to enjoy a new unique experience through a concert filled with emotion and mastery, designed for families.

The concert will take place on Wednesday, September 6th, starting at 7 PM, at the Capitol Hall of the Banatul Philharmonic. Admission is based on tickets.

With the value of its members and their contribution to the national heritage, the Romanian Chamber Orchestra stands as a reference point for Romanian culture. The ensemble's size ranges from 23 to 56 musicians, providing flexibility and versatility in approaching a diverse repertoire. The authentic interpretation of works blends with the exceptional skill of the ensemble's musicians, resulting in maintaining an excellent level of the orchestra from concert to concert. The artistic director of the ensemble is violist Cristian Andriș, and the orchestra's conductor is maestro Cristian Măcelaru – the artistic director of the George Enescu International Festival, chief conductor of WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln, and music director of the Orchestre National de France. In the last tour, the ensemble enjoyed great success in Romania, Switzerland, and Germany, receiving standing ovations for their passionately performed music, executed with the mastery characteristic of the world's finest ensembles.
