F.I.D. (Football as Infrastructure for Democracy) 3rd Edition: Program
3 - 4 - 5 - 6.10.2024
Jakab Toffler House invites you to participate in the third edition of F.I.D. (Football as Infrastructure for Democracy).
ššššššš ā Jakab Toffler House is creating a meeting space in Traian Square, TimiČoara, in the form of a natural grass field, which opens up various possibilities for reimagining public space.
ā The field will be animated by a series of community events, giving voice and visibility to the people living in the Fabric neighborhood. Itās a celebration of all the residents and friends of the neighborhood, and a celebration of our social and cultural diversity.
ā In this context, weāve invited several associations and platforms like Teatru Basca, Simultan Association, Contrasens Cultural Association, and other surprise guests to propose and organize various activities and events: theater, film, community meals, workshops for children, parties, and more.

ā Also, as part of the project, the third edition of Football in Traian (October 4 - 6) will take place ā an amateur football tournament featuring mixed, non-professional teams composed of neighbors from the Fabric neighborhood.

This tournament is not a sporting competition, and football is merely a pretext to give voice to the people living in Fabric. Itās a celebration of neighbors, residents, and friends from the neighborhood, and a tribute to our social and cultural diversity. The tournamentās prizes and trophies are symbolic. We hope that both on and off the field, ššŖš²š»-ššµšŖš and mutual respect will prevail.
The third edition brings, in addition to the actual tournament, several more events. We look forward to seeing you!
