Recognized worldwide for their iconic sound and high-energy live performances, the members of GoGo Penguin (Chris Illingworth, Nick Blacka, Jon Scott) are considered pioneers in instrumental music. By blending melodic landscapes with dynamic rhythms and electronic elements, the band develops a constant blend. GoGo Penguin have been called the “Radiohead of British jazz”, but they draw equally from jazz, rock, with minimal influences.

With numerous international tours under their belt, the band has performed at world-renowned festivals such as Coachella, Outside Lands, Fuji Rock, Blue Dot, Montreal Jazz Festival, La Vienne, Pukkelpop, North Sea Jazz and many more.

JAZZx is a music festival that has been taking place in the center of Timișoara since 2013. The event is dedicated to the general public because jazz is for everyone. So, for three days, the city center will be filled with the vibrant energy of jazz music and the audience celebrating 11 years of this event, which has become a cultural symbol for Timișoara.
