Movie Night: Reaching Common Ground

How can we use the power of community to find sustainable development strategies in culture?

The Common Ground project sought to find collaborative answers to this question.

We invite you to the final event of the project on Thursday 23 November, 18.00 at Ambasada in Timișoara. We will present a documentary film, a useful resource kit and reflect with the participants of the Common Ground cultural retreat in Armeniș on their experience. We will also present a conceptual „history” of cultural events in Timisoara made by One from donated T-shirts that were events merch.

The event is aimed at people active in independent or institutional culture who are curious to learn conclusions with possible application to their work, as well as Timisoara residents interested in the community cultural development of the city.

Admission is free subject to availability.

Common Ground targeted the activation of Timisoara public at the Plai Festival in the courtyard of Centrul de proiecte, organising a cultural retreat at the WeWilder Campus, a circular idea- sharing talk at HEI - House of European Institutes and engaging over 25 artists and cultural workers.

The aim of the programme is to provide the framework and tools for participants to enter into a collaborative process of regeneration and resource efficiency for years to come.

The project is run by the WeWilder Association, in partnership with WWF Romania, British Council and Plai Cultural Association.

Project team comprised of Alina Floroi, Ancuța Mihăescu, Oana Mondoc, Rucsandra Pop, Cristiana Tăutu.
