RECUPERATIO - Remarkable heritage achievements from across Europe

In 2022, Piscu School Museum and Workshop was honoured with a European Heritage Award / Europa Nostra Award. In 2023, we are organising RECUPERATIO, a travelling exhibition dedicated to all winners of the European Heritage Award / Europa Nostra Awards 2022, along with ten exemplary projects about heritage from Romania.

RECUPERATIO opens in Timișoara, the European Capital of Culture 2023, on Thursday, 20th of April at 18:30. We are honoured to open the exhibition in the company of the Jury of the European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards. The guests will be welcomed by the following speakers:

  • Bertrand de Feydeau - Chair of the Heritage Awards Jury
  • Alin-Adrian Nica - President of Timiș County Council
  • Daniel Tellman - President of the Order of Architects Timiș
  • Adriana Scripcariu - Project Coordinator/Piscu School
The exhibition will be open to the public of Timișoara from 20 - 30 April 2023. Monday-Friday: 8-19, Saturday-Sunday: 8-14.

Why RECUPERATIO? - Because cultural heritage needs to be recovered and revived, in every possible way. As a precious and irreplaceable mark of identity, it needs to be responsibly and accurately restored in society. At the same time, heritage is our chance to rethink history and connect different generations.
RECUPERATIO is a project organised by Piscu School in collaboration with Europa Nostra and co-financed by the Romanian Order of Architects. Our partners in Timișoara are Prin Banat Association, the Timiș Order of Architects, Agape-art&nature. The event takes place with the kind support of Timiș County Council.
