Tereza Catarov is a soloist and composer from Timisoara based in London, who developed her musical skills studying classical music and jazz. Her compositions are now stylistically influenced by contemporary jazz, traditional Eastern music and Western classical music.
As a musician, Tereza Catarov trained at prestigious universities in Romania, Holland and the UK, has collaborated with musicians such as David Binney, Jacob Collier, Kaya Thomas Dyke and Alex Simu and has performed on renowned stages such as EFG London Jazz Festival, Barbican or South Bank Centre.
Tereza Catarov is currently preparing her debut album “Koren” to be released at the end of 2024.
JAZZx is a music festival that has been taking place in the center of Timișoara since 2013. The event is dedicated to the general public because jazz is for everyone. So, for three days, the city center will be filled with the vibrant energy of jazz music and the audience celebrating 11 years of this event, which has become a cultural symbol for Timișoara.
