From 5-9 June SIMBIOZE project brings a movement workshop for the general public, coordinated by choreographer Timea Kovács. It will take place in the Botanic Park in Timisoara and it's based on simple dance improvisation exercises, starting from sensory experiences based on listening and kinaesthetic sensations.
DESCRIPTION
Timea Kovács: "We take time to gently observe, get inspired from and rest in nature and in our bodies. In the beginning we take the humble perspective to observe plant life from close, practice different ways of attending, listening to our interests and needs. We observe what is happening in front of our eyes, in the back of our ears, below our feet. And we take an eye on nature in parallel. We listen to it as it is speaking to us.
We continue by processing experience through movement, embodiment, writing and storytelling. We follow creative tools for sharing and inviting others into our discoveries. In this approach nature is our ally.
- What can natural collaboration teach us about human or interspecies collaboration?
- What do plants speak to us? What do our observations tell us about us in the particular moment?"
REGISTRATION AND PROGRAMME
Participation is free of charge, by registering at [email protected]. Workshop days will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, from 7 PM to 9 PM.
