Following an initiative launched by the Association of former deportees in Bărăgan, a faithful replica of a mud house, covered with straw, as the deportees were forced to build in the middle of the fields, was built in the premises of the Museum of the Banat Village. The house consists of two rooms - a living room and a kitchen - furnished with few things, similar to those that the displaced people managed to take with them overnight.
Next to the National House, an open-air stage has been set up where, during the summer, every Sunday the "village hora" takes place, preceded by ethno-folkloric performances.
