Following the completion of two art universities, Theater Arts, Spiru Haret University, Prof. Univ. Vlad Rădescu and Adriana Piteșteanu, and Puppet Theater, I.L. Caragiale University of Theater and Film, Prof. Univ. Ioan Brancu, followed by two years of a Master's degree in Animation Theater Directing, Prof. Univ. Cristian Pepino, Andreea Roxana Bolovan became acquainted with the Romanian puppet theater world, working as an actress and puppeteer at the Puck Puppet Theater in Cluj Napoca since 2014, as well as in independent productions in the field. In 2010, she received certification as a trainer in theater programs for children and adolescents, as part of the DICE project organized by the Kava Cultural Group Foundation, Hungary.

Since her college years, Andreea Roxana Bolovan has conducted multiple creative puppet theater workshops for children, young people, and adults in various cultural programs, local events, and national or international festivals.

One of the most complex roles she played was Charlotte in the performance "Charlotte Salomon"(2013), a one-woman show directed by Liana Ceterchi at the Theater for the Few in Bucharest. Engaging in multiple independent theater projects, Andreea Bolovan developed her organizational skills and teamwork spirit. Her first independent puppet theater project was the performance "The Enchanted Forest" created in collaboration with Mini Reactor, Cluj Napoca, a personal production, which premiered in 2016 at the fEAST Theatre Festival in London.

In 2019, she made her directorial debut with a family-friendly animation theater show at the Puck Puppet Theater in Cluj Napoca, titled "The Brave Elf". In 2021, Andreea conducted multiple animation theater workshops for adults and developed the concept of the animation theater project for young people and adults titled "Outside, Inside", co-financed by the National Cultural Fund Administration.

Throughout her experience as an actress and puppeteer, and in the various roles she portrayed, Andreea received three awards for performance and puppeteering excellence. These awards were presented at the International Festival in Subotica, Serbia in 2017, the Țăndărică International Festival in Bucharest in 2017, and at the international festival organized by the Merlin Theater in Timisoara, 2018, for excellence in puppet handling and role interpretation in the performance "the Street of Angels"), directed by Decebal Marin.

Between 2018 and 2023, Andreea appeared in several short films, with notable roles in "What do we do now?" directed by Tiberiu Iordan and "Conservation" directed by Hana Stroe.

In 2023, she produced and performed in the nonverbal animation theater show "This Clown is Me", a co-production with Magic Puppet Theater, co-financed by the Center for Projects in Timișoara, with its premiere in Cluj-Napoca in October 2023. In the same year, she also contributed to the initiation of the "Puppet Slam- Cluj Napoca" events (a series of small puppetry performances) in collaboration with the Magic Puppet team.
