The After x Class Lab is a program to develop a visual education module for teenagers that can be taught in the classroom. The lab aims to create and test a curriculum for a scalable non-formal education program for adolescents.
Over the course of eight bimonthly meetings, five groups will go through a multidisciplinary curriculum, structured in three sections: How do we read an image?, The image - document and The inner image.
The curriculum, developed with educational facilitators and visual culture specialists, spans multiple mediums - painting and photography, film, photojournalism and social media, and uses multimedia materials to provide an up-to-date education on image consumption in an oversaturated decade of image production.
This project is part of the national cultural programme "Timișoara European Capital of Culture in the year 2023" and is financed by the Power Station+ program | Creative schools, run by the Center for Projects Timișoara, with amounts allocated from the state budget, through the budget of the Ministry of Culture.
